giftsa>After they enjoy Christmas dinner, adult guests can go to an area where volunteers assist them in selecting a gift. We need volunteers on Sunday, 12/22, to organize, and volunteers on Christmas Day to meet guests and help them select gifts. Volunteers should be at least 16 years old, have an outgoing, festive spirit toward our guests and be able to follow set procedures in a small area. All gifts are donated by volunteers and area churches and organizations and include personal toiletries, socks, gloves, hats and underwear.

We also need donations of all adult gifts. Please refer to our donations page if you or your organization is able to commit to a donation this year. Thank you!


We need dishwashers and carvers. Dishwashers are needed on Dec. 25 with a special clean up volunteer shift from 3 to 5 p.m.

Carvers are needed to carve meat and chop veggies on December 22 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and December 23 from 10 a.m. to noon and from noon to 3 p.m.



Registration volunteers will assign numbers for our guests and direct them to the sanctuary. You will also assist with any questions they may have concerning our program.

NOTE: Greeters should be 18 years of age or older. Please dress warmly as this is in the entry area and can be cold.
TIMES: Several shifts are offered: 8:00 to 10:00, 10:00 to noon, noon to 2:00 and 2:00 to 4:00 (at the end of this last shift, you will be asked to help put up table/chairs & pick up in entry way)

Hospitality tent is set up early to greet guests before the church doors open. Coffee, cocoa, donuts, various baked goods and fruit are served at the tent. Volunteers will give a warm season's greetings to our grests as well as serve the food. They should dress warmly for this outside activity.
TIMES: We need six volunteers for each two-hour shift: 7 am - 9 am, 9 am - 11 am, 11 am - 1 pm and 1 pm - 3 pm.

Greeters are located at the various doors and hallways throughout the church to give a warm welcome to our guests. Greeters help guests and volunteers find their way through the church, direct our guests to the sanctuary and assist them with any questions they may have concerning our program. The dining room, on Christmas Day is where so much of the spirit of Christmas can be found. We need volunteers for server and runner positions.

You must be 18 years old to serve in the dining room.

The shifts are from 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.


As guest wait to be served for dinner, we gather in the sanctuary for Christmas fun and the celebration of Jesus' birthday. There's an Advent communion service, singing, poetry, testimonials and music.


Entertain youthful guests and their families in the Sanctuary as they wait for their meal.  A volunteer opportunity for your entire family to do together, especially if you know origami, macrame, card tricks or any other quiet entertainment you want to share. Crafty helpers are needed from 8:30 am - 3 pm. 


We are currently looking to fill more positions. Please contact us. We need joyful, happy festive volunteers who love to say "Merry Christmas" as they welcome our guests into the sanctuary. Assisting family members as they wait for the dinner bell. "Be the Host/Hostess with the mostest." There are orientations at 8:30 AM and 10:30 A.M. and 12:30 P.M.

Music is provided on Christmas Day as guests wait for dinner in the sanctuary and also in the dining room as people enjoy their Christmas dinner. Accomplished musicians, singers and dancers are invited to participate. Most volunteer opportunities require one hour scheduled service.

On Christmas Day, volunteers check in other volunteers and give them name tags. Four volunteers are needed per shift. The shift times are 7:30-10:00, 10:00-12:00, 12:00-2:00, 2:00-3:30 or close. Information guides will keep a watchful eye on the festivities and be available to help guests find their way in the church. We need ten volunteers per shift for Christmas day throughout the building. Some will not be needed after 3PM but others will be needed until 5:30PM.

TIMES: Four shifts, 8:30 – 11:30, 11:30 – 1:30, 1:30 – 3:30, 3:30 – 5:30



We need a few folks on Friday, December 27 from 10 a.m. to noon to help store and inventory items from Christmas day. This involves some lifting and counting skills. It could be a great project for a family or group of teens looking to help on holiday break.
